Arvo Kokkonen Oy is a seafood specialist that offers a complete service as a fish wholesaler. We have been in the industry for more than 40 years. We provide a full range of top quality, fresh products, and pride ourselves on our flexibility, our ability to keep abreast of new trends, our reliable deliveries and an ecological approach to business in which we are keen to foster sustainable development in the fishing industry and play our part as a responsible supplier.
At the same time we aim to provide our customers with a service in every part of Finland. Our production plant is in Vaarala, in Vantaa, just outside Helsinki. It is close to the harbours and ports, the airport, and all major roads. Every day we deliver thousands of kilos of fish, roe and seafood to restaurants, shops, merchants and wholesalers, all the while ensuring that there is no interrupted cold chain.

We offer Finland’s most diverse range of eco-certified fish and shellfish for all occasions. The products may come whole, as pieces, filleted, sliced, cut into strips, marinaded or dressed – whatever the customer wants. Apart from supplying fresh and frozen products we also produce specialty foods: we are highly professional producers of tasty sushi dishes and delicious fish pates and terrines, all made in our own kitchens.
Exotic products aside, right from the start we have always supplied fish from the lakes of Finland. Our range expanded greatly in 2015 when the fish company Nurmeksen Kala merged with us. The change meant we were able to add smoked fish, for example, to our already wide range of products. We now supply any type of fish from Finnish lakes, fresh and processed, hot or cold smoked fish and gravlax.
We are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and ISO 22001, which provides the guarantee that we are accountable and responsible and that our products are always fresh and of the highest quality.
